I have spent a lot of time working on my Shopify theme and also put a lot of effort into the coding. Now the theme is finally finished and I would really appreciate some honest feedback.
I would like to know what you think about the theme overall and whether you have any suggestions for improvement. Does the store look professional, clean, and trustworthy in your opinion? Are there any parts that could be improved, for example in terms of design, usability, or the overall impression?
Vielen Dank schon mal. - https://thee76s.com/
You can tell a lot of work went into this. The dark theme fits the luxury streetwear vibe well and the product photography looks solid.
The biggest issue I ran into: on first load the hero section was completely black for a few seconds before the images showed up. That’s a problem because most visitors will bounce within 3 seconds if they don’t see anything. I’d either optimize those hero images (compress them, use WebP format) or add a background color that isn’t just black so it doesn’t look broken while loading.
Also, the cookie consent banner and the 10% off popup both fired at the same time and stacked on top of each other. That’s a rough first impression. I’d delay the discount popup by at least 5-10 seconds so visitors can actually see the store first before getting hit with two overlays.
The navigation has 10 items which is a lot. GRAILED and SOLD ARCHIVE could probably live in the footer instead. And honestly, having a direct link to Grailed in your main nav is sending potential customers to a marketplace where they might find the same pieces from other sellers. I’d think carefully about whether that link is helping or hurting.
The product detail and organization is great though. Having sizes listed right on the collection page saves clicks. Are you doing anything for SEO around the brand names you carry?
one of the biggest mistakes I keep seeing over and over on here is not using your domain email. your contact information is a gmail account. Your reselling high end items and your using a gmail email address.
Thank you for the help, I really appreciate the feedback. I have adjusted everything now.
At the moment I am not doing anything for SEO, because I will most likely hire a professional theme developer in 2 to 3 months to build me a completely custom theme. Because of that, it would not really make sense to invest too much time into it right now.
Thank you for the detailed feedback, I really appreciate you taking the time to go through the store so carefully. You brought up some really good points.
I agree with you on the sticky header, the homepage slider placement, and the category page filters. Those are all things that can definitely improve the overall user experience. I also like your idea about adding more brand related content and making the product page feel better with a zoom feature on hover.
I have already started adjusting a few things and I will probably simplify some parts even more. Thanks again, this was genuinely very helpful.
