Feedback on My First Shopify Store Launch

Hi everyone,

I’ve just launched my very first Shopify store and would really appreciate some honest feedback from more experienced Shopify users.

The concept is focused around premium orange wine glasses for events like football matches, Kingsday, festivals and summer parties in the Netherlands :netherlands::orange_heart:

I’m currently looking for feedback on:

  • Store design & branding

  • Product page quality

  • Trustworthiness

  • Mobile experience

  • Pricing presentation

  • Anything that feels unclear or could improve conversions

I’m completely new to Shopify/e-commerce, so all feedback is welcome. Positive or critical :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Thanks a lot in advance! :folded_hands:

Hey @Ikdrinkoporanje

Since you’re running a single product store, every element on the page needs to work harder to build trust and sell that one product. Right now, the store feels like a default Shopify setup, and for a one product brand, that’s a missed opportunity. I’d recommend looking at some strong single product store references for inspiration, but here are the priorities I’d tackle first.

  1. The navigation feels too short and simple, and having a second menu labeled “Our Glasses” when there’s only one design creates a disconnect. Consider building a navigation that speaks directly to what makes your product worth buying.

  2. There’s no footer menu and no About Us page. For a brand selling one product, people need to know who’s behind it before they trust you with their money. An About Us page and proper footer links (shipping, returns, contact) are essentials, not extras.

  3. Every button on the site leads to the same product page, which makes the browsing experience feel flat. Instead, consider adding product videos, lifestyle imagery, or dedicated sections that showcase different angles of the product so visitors feel like they’re discovering something, not being funneled.

  4. A FAQ section on the product page would go a long way. With a single product store, there’s no “comparison shopping” happening on your site, so you need to answer every possible objection right there on the page before the customer talks themselves out of buying.

There’s more to address beyond these four, but getting these right first will make the biggest difference. Happy to help if you’d like me to give your store the right direction.

Hope that helps! If it did, a Like and Marking it as Solution goes a long way and helps others find the fix faster too.

Cheers,
Moeed

Thanks for the extensive feedback Moeed. Will take it and see if I can make some changes.

Congrats on launching your first store The concept is unique and very on-brand for the Netherlands market.

A few quick things I’d focus on:

  • Add more lifestyle photos/videos showing the glasses at parties & football events

  • Make the homepage value proposition clearer in the first few seconds

  • Add trust signals (reviews, shipping/return info, secure checkout badges)

  • Test the mobile speed and spacing carefully since most traffic will be mobile

  • Consider bundle offers for events/friend groups to increase AOV

Great start overall — the niche and branding direction already feel strong

Hey @Ikdrinkoporanje
Branding - logo is clear and themed well for the Dutch markets nL
Niche is smart - seasonal/event based products work well for impulse buying
Trustworthiness - add reviews , a clear return policy , and content info
Product Pages - Use lifestyle photos people actually using glasses at events
Pricing - Show value clearly
Mobile - keep CTA button Large and above the fold
Conversions - Add Urgency e:g “order before Kings days” and a FAQ section
and also you have a solid concept , just need social proof and stronger products visuals to convert visitors
This is my honest review if it is help full to you then don’t forget to like and mark as solution on it
Best

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I have added a lot, but not ready yet. Every insight is much appreciated.

Fun concept. I would frame this less as a general design review and more as an occasion-clarity problem: a visitor should immediately understand when they would use these glasses, why they are worth buying now, and why they are not just a funny idea to remember later.

I took a look at your store and you should consider doing the following:

  1. Make the first screen much more specific. The hero image is fun, but the actual value prop is buried. I would put a clear headline above the fold around unbreakable Oranje wine glasses for WK/EK, King’s Day, and Dutch parties, then make the main “Bestel nu” button larger and more prominent.

  2. Add proof and buying confidence near the product. Right now the product offer needs more trust: reviews, a short customer quote, shipping/arrival clarity, and a durability note would all help a visitor feel safe buying for a party or gift.

  3. Tighten the product purchase path. Make the set options much easier to compare, show the pricing clearly for 2, 4, and 6 glasses, and reduce any friction between choosing a set and adding it to cart.

For a one-product store, the product page has to do a lot of work. I would make sure it answers: what do I get, when will it arrive, is it durable/reusable, and is this worth buying for the next event?

Hey @Ikdrinkoporanje,

Congrats on launching your store! Great product and website. The orange wine glass is such a fun concept and really stands out compared to traditional wine glasses!

One thing worth exploring is adding a 3D viewer to your product page. It lets customers rotate and interact with your product in a whole new way, which can boost engagement and give shoppers more confidence before buying.

The best part is you don’t need any technical experience to set it up. There are some really accessible and affordable options out there. If you enjoy trying new tech to improve your store, it’s definitely something to look into. It’s a small addition that can make a big difference. Wishing you luck with your store!
