I’m running a business based in Korea, and since Shopify Payments is not supported here, I rely on PayPal as the primary payment gateway for my Shopify website. My audience is global, with customers primarily outside of Korea.
I’m trying to understand the fee structure for this setup but find it quite confusing. Are fees charged twice — once for selling on Shopify and again for processing payments through PayPal? If so, what would the combined fees typically look like in this situation?
I’d really appreciate any insights or a clear breakdown of the fees involved when using PayPal as the main payment gateway on a Shopify site where Shopify Payments isn’t available.
