Hello @GroupeCEA ,
Can you share us more details of your situation? And please share your store link with password (if needed).
Hi,
and https://pieces.groupecae.com/en
As you will see, there are filters in the French version of the website while they disappear in the English version.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Thanks @GroupeCEA - could you share screenshots which identify the issue? On checking both links above I couldn’t immediately see the difference.
@GroupeCEA Hello, I rencently went through this as well. In order for the filters in French to show, your products must have the translated terms added to the tags section in addition to the English tags. Once you do that and also add the same translated terms in Translate & Adapt, the translated filters should show up.
Thank you @iolo72 . Do you mean that the products must have the translated titles added to the tags section or do you mean that the tags should also be translated? Once again, thank you for your support.
Hi @GroupeCEA , the reason for this is that Product Type filters do no show in the non default language, because they cannot currently be translated: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/online-store/search-and-discovery/filters#filter-translations
A suggested workaround is to use metafields, which are fully translatable: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/online-store/search-and-discovery/filters#add-metafield-filters
@GroupeCEA In my case, I added a translated tag (in the second language) for each tag (in English, for me) present under Tags section (right column, bottom) for each product. And, those translated tags were added in Translate & Adapt >
Statics section > Colleciton sidebar (yours could be named differently) in the second language column. Then everything showed up in the filter section.
@iolo72 Are you using the Dawn theme? That is the one that I am using. The filters are based on tags and the product type. Thank you for help.
Hi @GroupeCEA , just to follow up / confirm here, this is the reason they are not translatable. The ability translate Product Type fields is being looked at by the relevant team, but it is not currently possible.
Hello, can you post a screenshot to understand it better?
I can’t find what you say. Thank you
Hi @Cicuekalo , what are you wanting to translate? Thanks
Hello, the same as my colleague, I recently posted the dawn theme, and all my products are labeled, and the same thing happens, in my native language, which is Spanish, it appears, but not in the others.
Could you share a screenshot? I’d need to understand specifically what type of content it is
Kindly find in attachment the screenshots from Filtration – English and Filtration – French.
Thank you for your support.
