Fixed Bundle with product options

Hi, we are looking for an app that allows us to create a fixed bundle with custom product options i.e. Bundle A with child products item A1, item A2, item A3 etc and product option of add name.

E.g.

Item A1 has variants size and colour

Item A2 has size and colour as well (already exceeding the product option limit)

Item A3 would have a custom option like add name and variant option size.

Variant Option total: 5

Product Option: 3 with price add-ons

Is there an existing app out there that has all of this functionality in one?

It is not exactly deep as you would want it because it does not let you choose variants but only the product. I believe with a bit of workarounds may be this can be accomplished.

Anyway do you have like examples of your requirement for a better understanding?

About the “Add name” (custom text input)

Shopify doesn’t support text inputs (like enter name / engraving) as native variants, so these fields are typically handled by product option / custom field apps via line-item properties.

At the moment:

• Bundle apps (including BOGOS)

• Product option / text-input apps

don’t yet have a deep, native integration with each other (as far as I know).

So currrently, I really can’t provide the solution on this. I’m very very sorry :< Maybe you can hire a developer, but the cost can be high.

For example: Here is an test bundle I am working with. There are 2 items in the bundle and the variant options can be selected as seen at the top (currently limited to 3) and underneath are product options tied to the bundle, not individual products. I am using 2 apps here.

Current issue:

The bundle product is limited to 3 variant options (based off the child products)

The product options do not work with the bundle product (on purchase the order only shows the variant options, does not show the product options nor do the price add-ons show on checkout). Limitation due to 2 apps communicating to Shopify.

Some additional nice to haves:

If the individual products could have product options tied to itself instead of the bundle, whilst also showing up on the bundle? i.e. child product has name engrave at +£2 extra, parent product sees this and displays it.

Hopefully this explains the situation clearer and what I’m looking for. I’m looking for a fixed bundle so they can’t mix and match products, they will have to purchase the whole bundle, not partially.

Thanks for this, I did take a look at BOGOS however, when trying to create a product from the bundle, it only limits to 3 variant options still, as well as 100 variants.

Ultimately, 3 variant options we can work with however, I do know Shopify increased the variant limit to 2048 as of October 2025.

Unfortunately, as you’ve mentioned there’s no current method for product options to work alongside bundles and having tested with a product options app it doesn’t update the product options on checkout (likely because of how they are both using cart transformations).

Sorry for the confusion earlier.

If you use a bundle widget embedded on the product page with the BOGOS app, there’s effectively no limitation on options, since each bundled item keeps its own variants and custom inputs.

However, if you want to publish the bundle as a separate product, most Shopify bundle apps must follow Shopify’s rules and limitations.

For this reason, I’d recommend using:

• a bundle widget approach

• only custom Product Options app (but the inventory of each product might need to be updated by hand)

I wish I could offer a perfect all-in-one solution here, but I hope this helps you a bit.

That makes sense and entirely restricted to Shopify’s limitations in terms of variant options count on products (regardless if it’s a bundle).

Unfortunately, we’re trying to market the bundles as much as possible so will need to act as a separate product. We can work within Shopify’s limitations of 3 variant option if needed.

Can we not use line item properties in this case for product options to go along with the bundle or is there a limitation to including line item properties with bundles.

I’m not a shopify dev however, would line item properties be tied to the parent product bundle?

If so, that wouldn’t work as the parent product bundle app would override/take precedent.

I believe the best method would be for product options to be added to the cart separately as if they’re individual items. I’ve been looking at gift wrap apps which would do that but unable to find one that meets our needs.

So on checkout it would look like:

BundleA

• ItemA: XS, Black
• ItemB: S
• Add name option: Test
• Add language option: English

As if there are 3 items in the basket, BundleA, Add name option, Add language option

I honestly haven’t worked with bundles but can give it a try if it is considered like a normal product which I am not very confident of because behind the scenes it’s more complex but assuming it is then we can try adding name and language as extra info along with the order.

To be honest i dont know if i truly understand your requirement but i tried implementing what i understood. So i created a test bundle of 3 option just as you have but we can add extra options like name and language preference as extra info that user adds to cart and also you get in on the order details I added name and number here.

Just in case i am on the right direction for your use case its just the dynamic pricing that needs to be implemented.
