thank you for your quick response. Yes shopify chat agents both gave me
same reply of having to reach out to others and getting back to me but
haven’t received anything yet. So here’s a CSV with the items I’m trying
to upload. I will be uploading jpegs separately that’s why url is not
included.
Topic summary
Main issue: Uploading a product CSV (comma-separated values) to Shopify fails with a validation error stating the variant “Default Title” already exists. The products are single (no variations), and the user followed the official guide but cannot proceed.
Recent updates: Support chats escalated the case twice, but no solution was provided yet. No sample CSV has been shared in the thread.
Requests from responders: Share a small sample CSV (1–5 products) with proprietary info replaced, ideally via a Google Sheets link, to diagnose formatting. Export a single product from Shopify admin to use as a template and compare structure.
Potential causes highlighted: Each product must have a unique handle (the URL-friendly product identifier in Column A). Duplicate or auto-generated handles from identical titles can cause import failure, especially with variant/option fields.
Action items: Provide a shareable CSV or Google Sheets URL. Verify unique handles and correct option/variant fields for single-variant products.
Status: Unresolved; awaiting the sample file for further troubleshooting.
