I have used a drop down menu on my site - on the home page, the menu works fine as there are no blocks below it. However, when I go to a page, the drop down menu gets layered behind that pages’ header for example, and i am no longer able to click on it.
I used the ai assistant to generate the drop down menu for me
You just need the z-index for that to be a higher number, one line of css. You can copy that element paste to sidekick and ask for css to increase the z-index after explaining your issue.
This may be a bit more complex than raising the z-index of the header section.
Also – you do have a preview password set, so we can’t see your store, please share it.
Otherwise it’s hard to suggest anything. If your menu is custom coded – why do not reach out to its dev?
Nice to hear that. Do check that it didn’t effect other layout on the site.
Also just a suggestion/tip or a request, just because we now have ai to build things for us first hand, it’s not necessary to use it in every aspect of your business not atleast when you have the native features to build it out.
The menu headers are such a native thing for any platform let alone Shopify to build upon and you don’t have any unique header layout to have to choose ai for this. You could just build out the menu in the backend, and use the customizer to insert this.
Always look for what the platform can offer even if takes a bit of research at the start, this will save you in the long run.
Just something that I wanted to share. At the end ots your store and business so you have the final say.
Anyways, happy to help out. Good luck with your store and your business.
