flashing typing line when clicking on category on header. how do i add hover colour dropdown menu.

when i click on the category on my header i get that flashing straight line next too the category like its waiting for me too type in preview mode. how do i fix this. i ran some code too remove the underline in the header categories it workes perfectly but not sure whats going on with this. Also anyone know how too change the dropdown menu hover color? thanks in advance
