We drop off at schools for distribution as a shipping option so we have an option that says “choose shipping below” abd then they would choose. Espcially if theyre using ShopPay, the options are miniomized so it’s easy for them to skip past and never see the list. Is there any way to expand that list all the time and/or force them to choose from the list?

Thank you for reaching out. Just to confirm, are there multiple shipping options at checkout and you want your customers to select from the list? What is selected by default when the list is collapsed? If you have a screenshot, or if you could share your store URL, that would be super helpful.

This is how it looks collpased and expanded - Because Shopify defaults to the least expensive method, we added a “Choose your shipping” option. otherwise, it would default to the first school alphabetically
Thank you for the screenshots Michael. I understand what you are referring to. it isn’t possible to have the checkout shipping fields menu auto expand, but this is valuable feedback that i will be happy to share with our developers.
You may find in this case that disabling Shop Pay/Express checkouts, may be the most reliable option for you. Also, depending on the checkout fields you are using, you may be able to move this information to a different field. Not all online stores make use of the “Business Name” field or “Address Line Two” field, you could customize the prompt for these fields so that the school information is added there instead. Allowing you to use a standard “free” shipping option.
