Hi,
I have forgotten my email and any other relevant information to my shopify account. I am still being charged fee’s, with that being the only information I have about the account. I have no way of retrieving my forgotten email or account name. All I have are the transaction fees occurring monthly upon my debit card.

That’s certainly not ideal that you’re having trouble accessing your Shopify account and that you’re still being charged fees. It sounds like you had a store in the past and never closed it, which means the subscription billing has continued.
Thanks for confirming that you cannot remember any information relating to the store. There’s a few steps you can take to try to identify useful account information so that you can recover your account to cancel it:
- Use our account recovery tool here, and enter all possible email addresses that you can think of. The system will send a reminder email if the email address is connected to any stores, which will be helpful to know.
- Check all of your email accounts. If you have multiple email accounts, check each one to see if you can find any emails from Shopify. Search for emails from Shopify or with Shopify related subject lines.
- Check your browser history - if you’ve used Shopify before, your browser history may contain the URL for your Shopify store. Try searching your browser history for “shopify.com” or start typing what you think the name of your store could possibly be and your browser may try to autofill the URL.
You are welcome to contact our support team using our help center here, however it may be difficult to locate your store if you have no details at all relating to it. The charges on your bank statement should include more information also, so be sure to have those to hand when contacting our team.
