Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Fraudulent Store on Shopify/Google Ads – Request for Immediate Action and Refund

Dear [Shopify Trust & Safety Team / Google Ads Support],

I am writing to formally report and express my deep frustration regarding a fraudulent online store operating under the domain Dulopi.com, which is hosted via Shopify and advertises through Google Ads. My experience is indicative of an outright scam that should never be allowed to function on any legitimate platform in this day and age.

I placed an order on this site, which appears to be registered in the Netherlands with ties to Switzerland, and paid in CHF (Swiss Francs). Only after completing the transaction did I discover that the item was being shipped from Wuhan, China—a fact that was nowhere clearly disclosed during the purchase process. When the item finally arrived, it was worthless, completely misrepresented, unbranded, and of no value whatsoever.

I attempted to contact the company to return the item and request a refund. However:

The contact telephone numbers were fake.

Emails bounced back or went unanswered.

There has been no customer service response of any kind.

Multiple reviews on Trustpilot and other platforms confirm this is a known scam operation.

This fraudulent business continues to exploit Shopify’s infrastructure and Google’s advertising platform to mislead consumers and commit digital fraud. It is utterly unacceptable that such blatant abuse is allowed to persist on platforms that claim to vet and protect their users.

I urge Shopify to immediately investigate Dulopi.com, terminate their account, and issue a full refund.

I also demand that Google enforce stricter screening of merchants using its ad services to prevent further harm to consumers.

In an age where online fraud can and should be systematically detected and prevented, it is beyond comprehension how such operations are allowed to thrive. Hosting and promoting these scam merchants severely damages the reputation of Shopify, Google, and any platform associated with them.

I expect a prompt and serious response to this matter, as well as concrete action to prevent future occurrences.

Hi @Arus_3

Sorry to hear about your experience. You can report a bad acting merchant to Shopify here: https://www.shopify.com/legal/tools/report-an-issue/report-a-merchant

In the meantime, I highly recommend contacting your bank and issuing a chargeback with the evidence you have collected. You have a strong case to win the chargeback and get your funds back.

The chargeback system is designed to protect you in cases like this, where the merchant isn’t acting in good faith. This is why I always prefer using my credit card for online purchases, it has a dispute system to help protect you from fraud.

If any of these SCAM company reads this I have reported them to my local Police and will report next to the Chinese Embassy in Geneva. Shopify you should check who you let sell on your platform. Proper screening is necessary

Thank you for reacting. First we in Switzerland we pay with our own money not credit. In this cases banks are not very responsive. Secondly, I tried to report via your link, but it says undefined so cannot do it at this time. However, I have reported to the Police and intend to report to the Chinese Embassy in Switzerland. I think Interpol’s Consumer goods department will also be interested. If you could on your end, please report them. It is just enough to read the reviews on Trustpilot about this company to see the scope of fraud! I can send if necessary the links

Somehow, after alll it went through it seems, as I received an email confirming they received my report.
