This is my first post. I hope this is the right place to post it. So, we would like to give our customers a product, which I don’t sell in my store, when they purchase a product from a specific collection. Is this possible?
If NOT, is it a good practice to add the free gift item as a product on the website only for giving it as a free gift? Help me figure out the best way forward.

Karlie here from the Shopify Support Team! That’s a great idea! Offering free gifts with a purchase can boost sales and incentivize customers to buy from your store. What you could do is use an app to provide functionality that allows a free gift to be added to a customers order upon purchasing a specific product. There are plenty of apps that can provide you with the functionality you’re looking for, but I would specifically recommend checking out the apps;
Another option would be to create a discount code from within your Shopify Admin that would allow your customers to receive a free gift with the purchase of a specific product. You can create this discount code manually by following our step by step guide, here.
