On Shopify, you can use apps like “Klaviyo” or “Omnisend” to integrate newsletter subscriptions with purchase behavior. These apps allow you to set up automation rules, where customers who subscribe to your newsletter and make a purchase are automatically offered a free product.

EG Auto Add to Cart sounds like a perfect solution for this. With EG you can set up auto add rules that can trigger when a cart condition is met - cart value or certain products or collection items in cart. You can target these rules to only work for certain customers with Magic Links - these links only allow the customer who visits with this link to activate the auto add rule when their cart satisfies the rule trigger.
