We would like to give a free gift to our loyal customers, including free shipping, to say thank you .
We have set up a segment / tag with the group of customers that we wish to offer the promo to.
But other than being in that group, we do have have any other criterion or goal for them to reach in order to get the free gift. We simply want to give the customer a particular free product from our store, and we will even pay for the shipping. So they do not have to purchase anything - they simply have to accept the offer and will receive the gift.
Is that possible?

Steps to implement this by creating a Private/Exclusive Discount Link:-
- Create a hidden product page for the gift item (not visible to the public).
- Set the product price to $0 and configure free shipping for orders with that item.
- Send a personalised email to your tagged customer segment with a direct link to the hidden product page.

Yes, what you’re trying to do is definitely possible—it just requires a bit of setup since Shopify doesn’t natively support $0 product checkouts with free shipping by default.
Bonus Tip:
If you’re managing a large list, tools like Klaviyo or Shopify Email can send a personalized message with a unique link to redeem the gift.

This can easily be done in 1 minute by using the BOGOS app:

Set cart value condition to 0

Apply the offer to “any products”
- Choose Sub-condition > Customers tags > Select the tag you set up for your loyal customers
4. Select and setup free gift
This way, whenever your loyal customers log in, a free gift will be automatically added to their carts (no purchase required)!
