Here is my situation and I am looking for a solution that I can set up that would work for this problem. So product A is a product that can either be picked up at a location or shipped. I need a way for a user to select free shipping or shipping in checkout and if they choose shipping it ships from a 3rd party fulfillment house and if they choose free shipping they pick up the item at one of 3 locations?
I don’t know of a way to do this within shipping settings, but you can change locations of fulfillment orders using Order Automator.
You can create fulfillment rules so for example if shipping method = “Free Shipping” then change fulfillment location to “Location A”.
Then in the Shopify order page, you’ll see that the item(s) change location, then from there you can request fulfillment / fulfill or whatever your normal action is. You can also have Order Automator automatically make the fulfillment request.
