When I click on a product from the product grid is doesn’t take me to the product, instead it loops back to the product grid so there is no way of viewing full product details.

Can you please provide your store URL and page link (if issue occurs on any specific page) so that I can check it and guide you accordingly.
Upon reviewing, it seems that link is working fine but some customisation/changes have been made to the Product template resulting in your issue.
Can you provide me with screenshot of your “product” template via Editor
