Fundraising shop page with password and sales tracking

Hey Guys
I have an online retail store, but I’m wanting to add a password protected store page for fundraising use.

So the shop page in the fundraising page to be password protected ( so that when the organisation is going thier fundraising they give people a QR code that sends them to the fundraisng page, they enter thier password and can access the shop).

Within this page I would like at the backend to be able to track these sales seperately from the main stores sales and also for it to calculate the running commission & sales of the fundraiser for both myself to see and also have the fundraising organiser the ability to see at any point in time.

Not sure if this is possible or if there is an app that would make this possible.

Many Thanks

Hi @Tony011

You can try the following:

  • Create a “Fundraising” collection/page in Shopify with only your fundraiser SKUs.

  • Lock it down via Locksmith, with a simple password or QR-trigger.

  • Set up Shopify Flow (or Mechanic) to auto-tag any order coming from that page/discount.

  • Install Better Reports (or Report Pundit) and build a “Fundraiser Dashboard” filtered by your fundraiser tag.

  • Share the dashboard link or schedule email digests for both you and your organizer.

Hope this helps.

Hey Tony,

I love what you trying to do combining your store with fundraising is such a great idea.

Yes this it totally possible on shopify, I can show you how it work:

Password-protected page: Use an app like Locksmith to create a private fundraiser page. You can link to it Via QR code, and only those with the password can access it

Track fundraiser sales separately: you can tag a product or use an affiliate style app like GoAffPro or shopify collabs to track each campaign sale’s and commission separately.

Organiszer Dashboard: Those apps also let’s fundraiser log in and see their own results-sales, commission and everything in real time.

This setup keeps your main store clean, tracks everything automatically, and make life easier for you and the fundraiser

I’m happy to point you to the right apps and if you need further help I’ll give my guide through

Hey Nelson
Apologies for the delay in getting back to you.
The option you outlined looks like it will work well, just have to spend a bit of time learning about it then should be away.

Many Thanks, very helpful

hey @Tony011 , not sure if you are still looking for a solution for this, but we built a fundraiser app to help you run fundraisers. No need to keep it password protected. We automatically keep the orders separate from your online store

Take a look and let me know what you think!
