Homepage elements built with GemPages were missing on the live site while appearing correctly in the builder; republishing and reverting did not help and the issue was isolated to the Home page.
A community member identified a syntax error: extra closing braces in a script were breaking page rendering, likely originating from the header area (based on adjacent header menu code). Screenshots supported this diagnosis.
The store owner granted collaborator access, and the helper removed the erroneous code. The live homepage is now functioning correctly.
GemPages later offered an apology and directed the user to contact support via in-app chat or [email removed] for further assistance.
Another participant criticized GemPages’ customer service for responding after the community fix was implemented.
Outcome: Issue resolved on the live site with code correction. No remaining technical questions were noted; discussion effectively closed, with a note on customer service responsiveness.
