Users are experiencing an issue where GemPages displays desktop images instead of mobile-optimized images on mobile devices, resulting in zoomed-in, improperly formatted backgrounds.
Affected Setup:
Temporary Workaround:
One user duplicated sections, adding mobile-formatted images as desktop images and setting visibility to mobile-only.
Resolution:
The GemPages support team has resolved this issue. Affected users now only need to republish their pages for images to display correctly on mobile devices. Multiple users confirmed the fix worked for their stores.
Using Sense theme on Shopify as well as Gempages.
The issue is that the site is trying to show the desktop images instead of the selected mobile image. the result is a very zoomed in image background on mobile. See below how it shows live and how it should look in Gempages.
Another detail is if I try to change the mobile image with something else, it donesn’t show when published. I can hide the section, but not change the image. Any help would be much appreciated.

Sure thing, it is Daboredbook.com. I’ve done a temporary fix by duplicating the section and adding the formatted mobile image as the desktop image, then making it only visible on Mobile.

This issue has been resolved by the GemPages team. Currently, you only need to publish the page again for it to function normally.
