Geo redirect affecting google ranking

Hello!

I recently duplicated a website and created a US based website for the US market. (I couldn’t just use markets to change currency as I needed to do a whole lot more than what I was able to do)

I am a photographer based in New Zealand and sell fine art prints worldwide.

I have been using the Geo:Pro Geolocation Redirects on my www.bythehorns.co.nz for anyone in the US country to be redirected to the US version www.bythehornsprints.com So if someone from the US accidently went to my www.bythehorns.co.nz original site they would be redirected to the US site.

But…

Since doing this or it could be a coincidence when you search for By The Horns in google in New Zealand now, it is not coming up!

I was ranked very high (1st or 2nd) in the keywords such as “highland cow prints nz” “cow prints” etc and I have totally disappeared. Is this because of the redirect for from the Geo app?

Thank you.
