Can anyone tell me how to get rid of the empty space at the top of some of my pages? It’s above the first part of text. For example: CUSTOM BUILDS – Circuit BMX Please be specific as to where to go to find the code. I’m not great at editing! Thanks!
Topic summary
Unwanted empty space appears at the top of certain Shopify pages (e.g., the CUSTOM BUILDS page). The requester asks where to find the relevant code but prefers a simple, non-technical fix.
Latest guidance: A non-code solution via the Shopify Theme Customizer.
- Online Store → Themes → Customize.
- Under “Template,” hover over blocks until the area corresponding to the empty space highlights.
- Use the eye icon to hide the block (recommended first), or delete it if necessary.
Key terms: Template/blocks are sections in Shopify’s theme editor; the eye icon toggles a block’s visibility.
Assets: An illustrative screenshot was provided to show where the eye icon and block selection are.
Status: No confirmation of results yet; the issue remains open pending the requester’s follow-up.
Hi Cara,
I think you can do this without code.
- Go to Onlinestore > Thems > click Customize
- Hover over the block under ‘Template’ till you see that empty space is highlighted and you can click the eye icon next to the the block to hide it or delete it if you want, but I would click hide it first to be safe.
