Getting a different URL when clicking on you may like products

Hi,

While clicking on you may also like products I am getting some strange URL, how can I fix the same?

URL: https://karmicseed.com/products/palm-leaf-plates-round-10-inch?pr_prod_strat=copurchase&pr_rec_pid=4478270898220&pr_ref_pid=4478269816876&pr_seq=uniform

The URL should be: https://karmicseed.com/products/palm-leaf-plates-round-10-inch

Can you help me with this?

Are you using an app to display the “You may also like” products on your site?

It appears that you are, and that the app is adding in a referral/UTM code in the URL (likely to keep track of conversions from customers clicking on the suggested products).

Hey Mels,

Thanks for getting back, but we aren’t using any app for “you may also like”. It’s by default in the customize option under “product page” - product recommendations “Show dynamic recommendations --change and improve with time. Learn more”

any idea on this?

Sorry, I don’t think I looked closely enough at the content of the URL’s in your original post.

The reason for this is that the product recommendations does not provide a direct link to a product page. The code pulls the recommended products from an ever-changing database of your recommended products (this is what makes it dynamic). See code snippet below.

Hi @BobsMojo ,

making this as dynamic code, is there a way to change the url? Google search console is giving me trouble with all those url not submitted in sitemap. Thank you for you support
