Getting add to cart but no sales

Hi everyone

Can someone help me I’m getting a few add to carts for my store but no one completing the checkout. I’m not sure what the problem is. Maybe there’s something about my store that is putting people off? I would love some feedback. Here is my shop:

thanks in advance!

Hello @erih1

Hope you are doing well,

I recommend two suggestions after viewing your store,

  1. Try changing font on cart page.

  2. Instead of writing product description in paragraphs trying writing in points or saying make key points in the product description. Try referring image below

Hope this solves your problem.

That looks great thanks! Just wondering what font you would recommend? Also is there an app or something you used the for the specifications layout?

First off, here’s what you’re doing right:

  • Nice design and branded colors. It shows you put real effort into the store.
  • Wide selection of products, but all of them are targeted to the same audience. So there’s a chance you could eventually add upsells and cross-sells to increase average order value.

Without more information, it’s hard to pin-point exactly what’s wrong. Let’s start with some on-page improvements you can make:

  1. Social proof. Some of your products have 0 reviews, which is understandable for a new business, but you need to give the customer at least one other reason to trust you. Also, for the reviews you do have, it’s sometimes hard to trust - every review is 5 stars, and several reviews are missing text or last names. Also if no one is completing the checkout on your store, where are these reviews coming from? That’s something to consider, from the buyer’s perspective.
  2. What is unique about your brand? Your on-page copy should address why customers should pick you over your competitors. Typically, this comes down to solving a specific problem for a specific group of people. So it’s worth taking additional time to identify your target audience and what they value.

Some off-page factors that could be impacting your sales:

  • If you’re running ads, you might be targeting the wrong people. For example, if men click on your ads, they’re not likely to buy, so be sure to not target them.
  • You might also just not be driving enough traffic to your store, eg. if you have a small ad budget. Most stores’ conversion rate is way below 10%, so expect to need many visitors before you get sales. And if you’re not running ads, how are you getting traffic?

Hopefully this was helpful - reply with any questions you have, and I’d be glad to give more feedback on your store.

However, the most important feedback you can get will come from your actual customers, not us. I recommend adding a post purchase survey to your site before spending any more money on ads.
