I’ve had a store on Shopify now for 4 years. I love everything about Shopify…except there is no qualified support available to you. You are on your own.
The support/chat feature - I must have used it 20 times, and I’ve had genuinely knowledgeable people about 3 of 20 times.
The support team are simply people who don’t have huge shopify knowledge, are managing multiple chats at once (so they are slow), and they are simply another set of eyes reading over Shopify web content trying to help you find the solution. Which I’ve already done before needing help.
So I love shopify, but there is just no support. You are on your own when things go wrong.
Shopify don’t want to be contacted, you can write to them, email or call. You cant escalate an issue, speak to a higher authority, unless you want to pay for it. You can’t even add a ‘Service’ or ‘Support’ related label to a message like this one.
The support for small business on shopify is an FAQ web page - i.e. go find the answer yourself - Good luck.
Unless in 4 years I am missing a trick? I’m 99% sure I’m not.
