Getting logged out of Shopify Admin on PC

I have always been able to have two tabs open (Using MS Edge), one for each of my Shopify Stores - recently when doing this, I keep getting logged out of the admin page and have to keep logging on on both stores. I have the same issue when using other browsers, have also cleared the cache and tried that but the issue persists. Would anyone perhaps know why this is happening? I have seen similar posts but none that seem to have yet found a solution.

Yes having the same problem here - Operating two stores and it won’t stay logged in to both stores simultaneously.

Previously I could just switch tabs between the two stores, both are active all day and logging in between each one is very time consuming, especially if I’m trying to multitask between both stores with updates etc.

Shopify please fix this - It’s only been a problem for the last couple of weeks. I have tried different OS, browsers, cache clear, restarting, everything!

We are experiencing the same issue. We have two storefronts and rely on the ability to work on both at the same time in separate tabs. For the past 2 weeks we’re only able to remain logged in to one storefront at a time. It’s brutal and is having a really negative impact on productivity.

Are you still experiencing an issue with being logged out of both stores?

Earlier today, Shopify received reports of general admin errors that affected merchants accessing and logging into their admin.

This issue has since been resolved by our developers and you should now be able to log in and access your admin as expected. Prior to logging in, it is recommended to clear your cache and cookies and completely reboot your browser.

If you continue to experience issues on your end, please reach out to our support via the Shopify Help Center so we can troubleshoot further.

Can confirm the same problem is still here for me too - Cleared the cache, deleted all content and restarted computers for good measure and still cannot be logged in to both stores at the same time.

It sounds like such a small issue but it’s seriously affecting productivity and has even made us question our future with Shopify if simple things like staying logged in cannot be achieved.

Really hoping this can be fixed soon

I marked it as acceptable in terms of having to contact the support team
directly - this I have now done and had to share all the info all over again

  • to me it sounds like this is new to them although I see many having the
    same issue on the community forum, so I am surprised that Shopify does not
    seem to be aware of this being an issue globally. They have asked about the
    type of PC I use, the operating system, Wi-Fi connection, etc and I have had
    to state that these are NOT the issue, nothing has changed on our side and
    that they should also look at the number of people raising this on the forum
  • I am waiting to hear back from them.

Same for me - I have contacted help support on two occasions.

The first agent was disconnect after about 45 minutes of back and fourth about the problem. I was then reconnected with a new agent who couldn’t see the history of the previous chat, nightmare!

Attempted to explain the problem with the new agent before then being cut off again.

As you mention it seems that the agents aren’t aware of this problem and are almost confused by it. Hoping something can get sorted with this issue soon!

I too have this problem. I have 2 stores and used to just go back and forth between the two.

No Ive been logging in 20 or 30 times every day. And to make it worse the SMS code sending from shopify stopped working. A few days ago I would get the code after a few minutes. The yesterday the code would come after 5 min so it would already be timed out. Now the code doesn’t work at all so I have to use recovery codes to log in. APPARENTLY SHOPIFY REALLY SCREWED UP EVERYTHING WITH THEIR COOL NEW 100 CHANGES FOR 2023, Are they really so lame to make a bunch of very bad changes no one wants ---- THAT MAKE EVERYTHING MUCH WORSE???

NO WONDER THEIR STOCK LOST 20% IN 5 DAYS.
