We plan to sell subscriptions to monthly gift boxes worldwide from Japan (with Japanese ¥payout).
I understand the majority of people like to buy in their local currency.
However, as it’s a 3/6/9/and 12 month subscription service, constant FX fluctuations between Japanese Yen and local currencies would result in subscribers being charged a different amount each time they renew subscriptions.
Or be charged a different price for a subscription compared to e.g. a current subscriber who recommend us to them.
Any suggestions as to the best way to price subscription boxes for the international market?
e.g. only display in USD worldwide and not customers local currency? Other option(s)?
We’re aware we’ll have to pay 2% charge as our payout will be in Japanese ¥ if we price in currency other than Japanese ¥ .
Any suggestions/thoughts on best practice appreciated!
