Gift card notification emails to match designs (multiple)

Hi,

I’ve been looking all over for this and can’t seem to find an answer.

I have a few different gift card designs eg. Birthday, Christmas etc and I have set these up on product pages. My issue is that I want the email notifications to match the specific gift card the customer chooses. I know how to change the default image to match my custom one in the “new gift card notification”, but I can’t seem to find a way to have multiple variations of this email depending on the gift card design.

Is this possible within Shopify itself or do I need to look at a using an app for my gift cards instead.

Unfortunately, Shopify’s default gift card system doesn’t support multiple email templates based on the selected design. It only allows a single New Gift Card Notification email, which means you can’t dynamically change the image per gift card type.

You can use an app like Govalo or ShopKeeper Gift Cards, which offer more customization, including different email designs per card type. Alternatively, if you’re comfortable with coding, you could explore Shopify Flow (for Shopify Plus) or use a third-party email automation tool like Klaviyo to send different emails based on the purchased gift card
