Gift card payment and online payment

The customer pays for the order with a gift card, and since the cart value is higher than the gift card amount, they cover the difference with an online transfer. The status of such an order does not automatically change to “paid”; instead, the online payment must be manually recorded, and the order status must be updated to “paid.”

Is there an application that can automate this process?

This happens because Shopify treats gift card payments and other payment methods separately, requiring manual confirmation when multiple methods are used. Unfortunately, Shopify doesn’t natively automate this status update.

A possible solution is using Shopify Flow (if you’re on Shopify Plus) to create an automation that flags partially paid orders and updates the status once the remaining balance is paid.
