Google Ads Blocked Due to Circumventing Issue

Topic summary

Google Ads account suspended for “circumventing” (policy category related to unfair or suspicious activity) after launching a new store.

Key guidance: A responder notes suspensions can stem from perceived unfair/suspicious practices and shares Google’s policy resource for details. They offer to review the store if the URL is provided.

Outcome/update: The original poster appealed, explained their user journey, and the account was reinstated after about five days (including a weekend). No specific violation was identified publicly.

Another participant reports the same issue and asks if it was resolved; the answer is yes, via the appeal.

Practical takeaways:

  • File an appeal with clear explanation of the site’s user journey and compliance.
  • Review Google’s circumventing policy to identify potential triggers.
  • Expect delays; response timing may be outside user control, and reaching customer support can be difficult.

Status: Resolved for the original poster; issue may remain for others without a confirmed root cause.

Hello,

I recently launched my store and Google blocked my Ad account due to Circumventing issue. Has any one faced the same?

Hi @KimGlorious

If Google finds an account engaging in unfair practices or suspicious activities, it will suspend the Ads account. It can be a misinterpretation of the account sometimes. You can follow the article: https://support.google.com/adspolicy/answer/6020954#319.

This article below might give you ideas about why the account got suspended. You can also share your store name here so I can look at your store and provide suggestions.

I have the same problem and have no idea what I have done wrong. Were you able to fix this?

This was a funny case - I appealed against it and told them about my user journey. And after 5 days on a weekend, it started working.

Just to let you know - You will be helpless, irritated and at times will get furious. But at the end end, patience is the key here. No matter how much you try to reach Google customer care, it will get sorted only when Google wants too. Google has a monopoly and I wish in the future we have so good competition at this front as well. You will just not be able to reach customer care.
