Google Ads Conversion Tracking on Registration Completions - Anyone ever done this?

So we are trying to advertise to Mechanic Shop Owners as they are high value to us. We are having them sign-up (i.e. Register) on the Shopify site so they can join our Shop Owner incentive program.

We need to be able to track successful Registrations back to Google Ads so we know which Campaigns/ads/etc. are generating Registrations

Shopify support said they didn’t have a clue so I come to you to see if anyone here has done this and if so what did it take? Are we looking at custom development to add code or is there a way to do this with the normal Shopify options?
