Google ads struggles

I run n online clothing brand. It’s been 2 years since start I want to explore the google ads. what will be the right approach to start it with minimal budget and when to expect start seeing results in terms of sales.

What is the best way to target the right people with Ads?

Hello Temi, thank you for your question in the FeedArmy AMA Event.

The most cost-effective setup is to use performance max without branding, I explain how to exclude branding here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4saYMkfG0NM

And setup the performance max campaign with no ad assets, explained here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6VhX7MqIgY

Then to setup branded shopping campaigns using standard shopping separately, explained here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CiRIDzRrHno

But, as you are a branded clothing business, and I assume it’s your own brand, you should also be doing brand-awareness, to ensure you have future growth.

You can do brand awareness with text advertising and demand gen ads, as well.

You can find the best keywords by using your existing data, a good source is your Google Search Console data to begin with.

In Google Merchant Center your primary images should be a product shot, you can then add lifestyle images, using the lifestyle image attribute: https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/9103186

Increase budgets every 3+ days if you want to, and do not increase it more than 30% as too much change may result in the campaign to be forced into a new learning phase.

Tracking performance, what you should be looking at is impressions, clicks, CTR, add to cart, conversions and ROAS (conversion value divided by ad cost.

To increase sales without losing profits, is to do so step by step. So for example if you want to increase the budget, do so incrementally as explained above.

You can use SpyFu to check what your competitors are doing.
