We are required to paste the Google Code (Format UA-XXXXX-X) in the box through: Online Store/Preferences/Google Analytics. After this Step, should I copy the tracking code (gtag.js) and paste it after the through Online Store/Theme/Edit Code/Theme.Liquid? I know this issue might be differ by the Shopify Plan I use currently, right? I was told that it is not necessary to paste the (gtag.js) since I am using the Shopify Basic Plan.
Could any expert explain it and tell me how to do next?
