I have been trying to link my Shopify store with my Google Merchant account. However, I get the message that this can’t be done because of an invalid store name. There are also issues with Google Merchant, which tells me that there are policy violations.
I have tried everything I can think of to clear these errors. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I managed to fix it, I changed my business name in the merchant center to read exactly as the url. Example by store is called Sandwich Bar but I looked and on the url after shopify in admin it was actually called sandwhichbarltd. I used that as the business name and it worked. All one word.
I don’t think I follow…do you mean your “shopify admin” url?
I looked at mine and it’s “fitbody-lohre” which is NOT what I want to show up in Google. I want it named FITBODY.com.
I had the same issue, which was caused by using too many capital letters in the company name. Changing it to lowercase in Google Merchant Center resolved the problem.
Google also mentions this in their ‘How to fix: Invalid store name’:
“The most common issues are the inclusion of company suffixes (like ‘Inc.,’ ‘Co.,’ or ‘GmbH.’), and excessive use of capitalization or special characters.”
