Google Conversion Tags & Dynamic Retargeting

Hi all,

I wondered if anyone could help; we have followed all of the shopify instructions, installed the google app, setup/connected GA4 (beta) and Universal Analytics. Now we have 2 issues: -

  1. Our google ads conversion tracking tag appears to be triggering twice - only on our product pages though interestingly! I raised a ticket with Shopify who via chat, advised they had no idea why it was showing twice - im not sure if its been escalated but Ive heard nothing since and this was yesterday.

  2. Despite searching the deep dark depths of the internet and following about 10 x different examples to setup our dynamic retargeting tag - we are finding it impossible to do so. Can anyone offer any suggestions or advice here?

Coming from a woocommerce background, both of the above are so easy to get working right…so I’m really surprised im finding it so difficult on shopify!
