I’ve registered a domain, built a site and waited four days for the domain connection to happen. Nothing. It just says “come back later”. Never a problem with squarespace. Can’t find any actual contacts for support.

As I understand that you already have a shopify store and registered domain.
However, your domain URL does not load or connect yet.
This could be happen may be because of the following reason-:
- DNS Propagation Delay
- Incorrect DNS Settings
- Incorrect Shopify Configuration

Could you also share your domain here so we can look up the DNS settings to ensure they’re pointing to Shopify’s records?

- Verify that the DNS records for your domain are correctly set up. Ensure that the A record and CNAME record is pointing to Shopify’s records.
- Get in touch with your domain support team and inquire about any potential issues with the domain connection. They may be able to provide insights or assist you in resolving the problem.

I have told Shopify what the domain is, and I own it in Google domains. With other hosted solutions that’s enough, and the rest happens in the background.
The fields that are set out in the instructions do not exactly match what is available in Google domains.
Is there some way to contact support rather than posting here on a forum?
