Lately I’ve been noticing something while going through different stores and discussions here. A lot of Google Merchant Center accounts are getting suspended.
At first it feels completely random. Everything looks fine from the surface, products are uploaded, store is live, and then suddenly the account gets hit.
But after looking into a few cases, it doesn’t seem random at all. There are some common issues that keep coming up.
In many cases, it’s policy related. Either something is missed or misunderstood. Sometimes the product data on the feed doesn’t exactly match what’s on the website. Even small differences in price, availability or description can cause problems.
Another thing I’ve seen is weak website trust signals. Missing policy pages, unclear contact details, or a site that doesn’t look fully complete can raise flags.
And then there are feed-related issues. Missing attributes, wrong formatting, or just poorly structured data.
What’s tricky is that most of these are small things individually, but together they can lead to suspension.
From what I’ve seen so far, the only way around it is being very careful with the basics. Making sure the data is consistent, the website looks trustworthy, and policies are properly followed. Also, checking the feed regularly instead of setting it once and forgetting it.
I’m still trying to understand this better, so I’m curious how others here are dealing with it.
Has anyone else faced this recently? What actually helped you fix it, or avoid it in the first place?
Would be good to hear different experiences.
