Google Merchant Centre Help

Hi There,

I’m having trouble getting a Google Merchant Centre account approved, I’ve gone through and checked everything.

We had to update the address because it was a post office, done that, Also made changes to all of the policy pages so it was inline with Google’s guidelines.

Can anyone give me advice on what needs to be done here? Google just come back with extreemly generic response which is no help.

Hi,

Thanks for your response.

Unfortunately, I’ve looked through all of the above and I can’t find any issues. What I’m looking for is an explanation of what’s actually wrong so I can fix it. What you’ve put above I appreciate but, it’s pretty much exactly what Google says with no clear explanation of what’s the piece that wrong.

I’d prefer to keep the communication on this forum.

Thanks.

You may have noticed that some users reply with chatgpt, which honestly does not share any knowledge nor does it help the original poster, my replies are all human written.

I would for now remove the 10% off popup, popups that block the page, may cause issues.

As you are selling pregnancy related products, make sure to not include display ads, as this is not allowed. Go to cog icon > data sources > click on your primary feed > setup > and in the marketing options uncheck display ads.

Make sure text can be highlighted, as this is a normal website function, blocking this will be a reason for suspension. (for example your address in the footer)

When adding an item to the cart, there was no indication something was addedd other then the cart icon updating. I recommend having some kind of notification that says, item is added to the cart.

You may have more issues, so make sure to check:

Since you already changed the address and policies, I’d stop making broad checklist edits and build a short review packet around what Google can verify.

For one representative product, document: product URL, Merchant Center item ID/source, final price/availability, business name/address/contact as shown on the site and in checkout, policy links from the footer, checkout path, and any popup/overlay behavior from an incognito browser. If the store sells pregnancy/health-adjacent items, also confirm the correct destination settings and avoid anything that could route the offer into restricted display/ad placements.

A few specific things from this type of case are easy to miss: footer/contact text should be crawlable/selectable, popups should not block the page for Google, add-to-cart should visibly confirm the cart state, and business identity should match across site, GMC, payment profile, and policies. Once those are aligned, the appeal should be a concise changelog plus evidence, not “I checked the policies.”
