We want everyone to have a safe and positive experience when visiting Google and our partner sites. To help make that a reality, we’ve developed a set of that we expect advertisers to follow. When advertisers don’t follow these policies, we may disapprove their items to let them know that something is not right. When advertisers continue to break the rules or break the rules egregiously, then we may have to suspend those accounts.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but unfortunately we will not be able to reinstate this account and the current status of the products and the account may be beyond fix.

Google’s primary objective is to provide safe, relevant experiences for our users. The decision to suspend your account was made after careful review of your account and the low quality landing page experiences promoted through your website.

We won’t be able to provide you with any further details regarding the suspension of the account.

second email:

Thank you for your patience while our team reviewed your suspended Merchant Center account: 755687032 due to product data violations.

Post checking with the concerned team, we found that your Google Merchant Center account doesn’t comply with misrepresentation of self or product policy. Therefore, we have disabled your Google Merchant Center account.

Google doesn’t want users to feel misled by the content promoted in Shopping ads, and that means being upfront, honest, and providing them with the information that they need to make informed decisions. For this reason we don’t allow the following:

- Promotions that prompt users to initiate a purchase, download, or other commitment without first providing all relevant information and obtaining the user’s explicit consent.

- Promotions that represent you or your products in a way that is not accurate, realistic, and truthful.

Misrepresentation typically refers to discrepancies between the physical reality of your business and its portrayal on your website.

For instance, inconsistencies may arise when the actual physical location of your business aligns differently from the information provided on your website, Google Merchant Center settings, public social media profiles, or other connected accounts. All these details must align and reflect the physical reality of your business.

Operating your business in one geographic region while asserting that the corporate entity is based in a different jurisdiction.

The practice of setting up a virtual address or business in a location where your company does not operate is a typical example of misrepresentation.

Additionally, the overall quality of your website can be a form of misrepresentation. Therefore, it’s essential to improve your website and populate it with original, high-quality content and not to copy-paste information from other websites.

Trust indicators such as your Google Business Profile, Better Business Bureau (BBB) accreditation, and genuine customer reviews are critical to fostering a sense of legitimacy and reliability.

Neglecting to include essential policies in the footer of your website can lead to misrepresentation. Instead, ensure all necessary policies are articulated and accessible to users for transparency and compliance.

Another example of this could be advertising a discounted price for an item, even though the product has not been sold at its alleged original price in recent history.

Copying content from other websites, including details items such as “About Us” pages or policy statements, is regarded as misrepresentation.

Failure to maintain inventory or lack of knowledge regarding stock quantity levels.

Any discrepancy on your website or in your Google Merchant Center account that deviates from absolute truthfulness can be perceived as misleading, which could potentially be the reason for suspension.

Hi Emmanuel,

I’m currently experiencing the same issue.

I’m using a UK dropshipping model and a new business so do not currently have any sales history.

I believe I’ve correct all my website policies and shipping/contact information on the website matches that of my merchant centre.

My product descriptions have been changed so it does not match my suppliers data.

One thing you mentioned was “Advertising a discounted price for an item, even though the product has not been sold at its alleged original price in recent history” which is something I have on my website even though I have never sold the item on it’s original item, are you saying this will definitely cause a misrepresentation issue?

The website: Nightfall Fitness - Barbell, Treadmill, Weigh Bench, Indoor Cycle

Any assistance would be appreciated.

I’m sure Emmanuel will help you. Lols

He said my website is unfixable and there is nothing that can be done and i just got my GMC approved and got rid of misrepresentation last month.

what worked for me is getting broken links fixed and making new merchant account.

hope it helps.

Hi,

None of my site has broken links, I’ve checked everything and had a 3rd party check it.

And recently got a reply from google stating " The decision to suspend your account was made after careful review of your account and low quality landing page experiences promoted through your website"

Any idea where else I can get expert support from?

What was the difference when you created a new merchant account?

Hello Emmanuel Flossie,

Been consuming all your responses to all the GMC account suspension threads

I have been struggling with this for a while now and after a couple of failed reviews for www.pizzaovenus.com

I have removed all imported reviews on my site, checked all my shipping and return policies and contact pages in my footer

Fixed all product errors on GMC

Removed all products without GTIN to avoid errors
Verified my GMB profile and linked it to GMC

Google isn’t helping out and being vague about what the problem is

Please can you share any thing you notice about pizzaovenus.com

Most likely, due to not being able to verify if an item is stocked at all times, which is a Google requirement. Based on your business, you first check with the supplier, then let them send it out, but that is not allowed.

You must know if its in stock, when you list it on Google Shopping, at all times.

HI Emmanuel, how can I prove my item is in stock from my website? I have created 3 stores since May and each have been suspended for Misrepresentation. I am sitting on the product, created social media sites for each store, I have original photos and content. I have created business profiles for each store in Google, submitted sitemaps in Search Console, and watched so many videos to try and get unsuspended and get my stores up and running. I’m guessing Google thinks I’m trying to drop ship and I need to prove that I’m not. Thanks for your time! :slightly_smiling_face:

You can’t.

You can however, prove to Google your order fullfilment: https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/10834831?hl=en

And having reviews, also demonstrate order fullfilment.

Hi

Did you ever solve this issue, my GMC account in currently suspended for the same reason ‘low quality landing pages’ I’m still trying to find out what that means

Thanks

Steve

Same case here. GMC has the same robot reponse to everyone, their reviewing process is not transparent, subjective, double standard, obscure. They don’t clarify which part of the store has problem, GMC staffs can’t even answer a query from a customer properly, no passion in helping customers to fix the issues they had raised instead simply copy and paste the policy content in every response.

Hello Kidsly, making a new GMC a/c is that means keeping the same store domain, close the GMC a/c and open a new one with another google’s login?
