Hello, 

we offer digital products in the store as instant downloads. When shipping, I chose custom flat rate (no transit time). In Google merchant, however, the delivery time for the countries is shown as 2-8 days. How can I change this to 0? The shipping costs are already free and are also displayed as such in Google merchant. Thanks very much

Rio here from the Shopify Community Team. Unfortunately, Google does not allow the sale of digital products through its platform. You can find more information about this policy on their website.

As an alternative, I would suggest listing them on Etsy as Etsy does allow the sale of digital products.

Hello thanks for the reply. I checked your link and could see that google doesn’t allow digital books. We sell software and many websites sell it too - on google ads.

You can change your shipping costs in Google Merchant Center > gear icon > shipping

However as indicated, generally digital products are not allowed, you may expect a suspension at any time, so take this into consideration.

If you sell software, then you need a official certification from the manufacturer. Even then it’s very likely you will get suspended at any time.

Shopify automatically syncs with Google Merchant. When I remove shipping rates from shopify, all products are rejected in Google Merchant even though the products are marked as Digital Download with no shipping. If I choose a custom flat rate (no shipping time), the delivery time is 2-8 days depending on the country. Do I have to manually set everything to 0 for 38+ countries in google Merchant? Is it somehow automatic?

Yes that sounds correct, as indicated digital goods are not allowed, hence why there is no such concept as no shopping.

The only way you can move forward, but most likely you will get suspended, is to add a value of zero for your shipping rate.

First, disable the shipping settings in the Google Shopping & Youtube app. Then set the manual shipping rates. Your manually added rates will not be removed if done correctly.
