We were recently auto upgraded to Google Performance Max campaign and suddenly Google Ads stopped tracking conversions. It worked until las week! Should I reinstall the tag on checkout page or just wait?

Yes, re-install it. There is no harm in setting it up. Just make sure you do not double track.
