Hey everyone,
Has anyone else had this happen? Google somehow scraped discounts off my Shopify site and turned them into valid coupons that showed up in Google search. Now, even after I disconnected the scraping link and disabled all those discounts in Google Merchant Center (GMC), these coupons are STILL floating around out there.
I’ve double-checked GMC, and those discounts are gone. But the coupons still work, and customers are using them. 
Anyone know how to stop this madness? I’m wondering:
- If this is a Google caching issue?
- If there’s some extra step I’m missing to kill these zombie coupons?
No, they don’t appear anywhere in my discount list in Shopify. I even tried an API call, and it still didn’t appear.
I tried creating a discount with this code, and it says it’s not unique!
Would love to hear if anyone’s dealt with this or has a solution! Thanks in advance!
