I recently moved to Shopify and set up my Google shopping ads.
On my old site it used just the parent SKU and submitted that to google shopping..
However, Shopify does it different.
Rather than just using the Parent SKU, it uses all the child SKUs.
Parent SKU “My Product”
Child SKU “Small” “Medium” “Large” “Extra Large”
Is there a way to only submit the parent sku to google shopping?
Also when sumbitted the ID only displays some shopify code rather than the name and ID of the product. Which makes it very hard to keep track of in Google Shopping.
Please see the attached photos.
The first photo is the shopping campaign and the second is where you select which products to use for that add.
Granted you could just select one of the child skus. But by default it puts the others in a catch all Area called EVERYTHING ELSE. Hopeing someone else has had the same issue and knows how to fix these issues.
