Google will not index my site.......super frustrating.....help please

So the sake of transparency…this is the first time I have had a website in about 10 years…my previous website with a MIVA merchant site.

When I have my shopify site built…I had is password locked for some time until I could get a few customers to come into the site and test drive it. The site was last indexed in June 1, 2022 and after repeated requests…the google bot came around this past week and hit the website again.

The website is still not showing on Google…and due to the nature of the website name is sending thousands of dollars in sales to my competition .

Every single search engine has indexed my site except google…and thus virtually no traffic and no sales.

So the homepage has been indexed and still not showing, the collections not showing etc etc.

Least time around submitting to Google used to be super simple…now they have the search console they is so complex I really dont understand it.

Some have suggested deleting the property in google and resubmitting.

At this point I’m just willing to pay a service to get the submission correctly done…I have tried posting on Upwork to get this done and I’ve gotten everything from you “you need a new website” to " you need a youtube channel and a blog"

This is not an SEO thing this is a submission thing.

Can anybody recommend a company to get this done.

Super frustrated here

Here is what google sent me:

Search Console has identified that your site is affected by 2 Page indexing issue(s). The following issues were found on your site.

We recommend that you fix these issues when possible to enable the best experience and coverage in Google Search.

Hi HK,

Google takes a few weeks to months to index all pages of a website that has little traffic.

I’m presuming you have submitted your sitemap so Google will take their time to figure out all the pages of your store, then index them.

To accelerate indexing of all the pages of your site, go to Google Search Console > Click on URL inspection > Submit individual URLS > Click on Request Indexing.

By doing that, you are informing Google to index that pages so they will take note and prioritize that. If you have many pages, you can do that one by one. There is a maximum limit of 10 URLS every day. You have to do that manually one by one. There is no option to do it in bulk. When I say prioritize, it doesn’t mean indexing happens immediately, this is also dependent on the quality of your store and how much existing traffic you have.

Nonetheless, for sure it will be quicker than submitting just your sitemap.

To know what are the pages that are showing up on Google, type this into your browser,

site:yourstoreurl.com and you can see the list of URLS that have been indexed by Google.

Hope this helps!

Cheers,

Clarice

I have done all of the above…my submissions were back in June. Site map and individual URL submission and still no indexing.

@Henrykjr what’s your store’s URL? If you prefer, you can send me a DM.
