Google & Youtube App Feed

Hello

I was using Google & youtube app for whole time. Recently I added few product - metafield which I would like to send to GMC using native app which is not possible.

Paused native app and install simprosys app which was good way to send custom attributes using mapping but no control in my hand and customer service is good .

I decided to uninstall and simprosys and go back to native app and create own supplement sheet . Its been over 5 days , local feed only 39 items sync.

Supplement sheet showing error .

if namespace key is custom.made_of , how to use that in supplement sheet so google read it correctly. In total I want to send 5 namespace key.

Please advice how to resolve the local feed which is stuck at 39 and how to correct values in supplement sheet.
Thank you

if i can recall, the google and youtube app does support metafields. something on the lines of mm.google if i am not wrong.

though, i don’t prefer to use the app due to the various issues that it can cause (as you yourself highlighted you are stuck at 39 products). and i am not sure about using supplemental feeds either for custom metafields. i have only used them for partial updates to titles, descriptions, etc.

rather, i would say go with a data feed solution like adnabu. helps to accurately sync all products to GMC and also metafield and metaobjects mapping for sending enriched product data to Google Shopping.

@Amlani Thanks for reply.

So the local feed taking forever is usually because you’ve got a mismatch between what the app expects and what your product data looks like. Sometimes takes a full resync or you need to actually disconnect and reconnect the Google channel completely. For the supplement feed, you’d use the format custom.made_of as the column header but Google’s actually reading it as custom_label_0 through custom_label_4, so you might be better off mapping those metafields to material or pattern attributes instead if they fit. What exactly is the error message on the supplement sheet?

I assume you have a physical shop? Usually I stay away from the google and youtube app, because it’s always buggy, but if not all products are listed, I usually uninstall it, and then re-install the app.

As to supplement sheet error namespace, that is very unusual as it sounds like you created your own custom solution? So in that case, you need to check Shopify’s documentation or if you are using your own custom coding, consider using Claude AI that works well with developing your own stuff.

If it’s the best solution, I would not think so. I prefer to use multifeeds Multifeed Google Shopping Feed - Feeds & conversion tracking for Google, Facebook, Awin & more | Shopify App Store

It is easy for beginners who don’t want to make any changes, and it allows you to be as complex as you like allowing you to use all metafields, there is a little learning curve, but support is great.
