Google & YouTube app issues on Shopify

Question 1: Product metafields edits are not getting synced with the Google & YouTube app in Shopify. This is having a negative impact on the performance of Google Shopping Ads campaigns.

Shopify thinks this is a Google problem; Google thinks it’s a Shopify problem.

Would you know if this problem is unique to our account, or all businesses on Shopify are facing the same problem? Any suggestions on how to resolve it?

Question 2: Bulk editing large feeds on the Google & YouTube app in Shopify is a nightmare (extremely slow page loads). Is there a better way to do this, or the only way to get around it is to sign up for a paid third-party feed management app?

  1. Yes that is a common issue with Google And Youtube app. As I work on accounts as a professional business, I don’t use the Google and Youtube app, as it is too restrictive.   1. You could try bulk editing using: https://apps.shopify.com/bulk-product-editor

Alternatively, my favourite way is using a supplemental feed, as I need to update and improve data on a per product basis, so supplemental feeds are best for this.

But if you already have the data, such as in metafields, then use the multifeed app, then map the data and it’s all automated.
