I’m still rather new to this, so apologies for a somewhat basic question, and thanks for the help. I’ve read Shopify’s instructional materials on creating and using gradients, but I’m not actually able to use them in any space where they would be relevant. I created an Accent 1 and Accent 2 gradient, but also had previous colors selected for accents 1 and 2. These Accent 1 and 2 gradients are nowhere to be found in any of the customizable sections. I can change the single color of accent 1 and 2, but not apply the gradient.
Oddly, if I select a gradient in the theme settings for Background 1 gradient, the background is immediately changed to the gradient. Of course, I have no need or desire to do this. So:

Where exactly are Accent Gradient 1 and 2 applicable in the Dawn theme? Are they not possible to use in any of the spaces that offer a selection of color options, including accent 1 and 2, and background 1 and 2, and inverse?

Do I need to change the code in order to implement a gradient in a basic section of the home page (ie. announcement bar, image banner container)?
I’m just looking for a hypothetical answer, by the way, not asking for a direct change to the page. I want to know what I’m not seeing/understanding! Thanks for your help,
