Group size variants in Search & Discovery

The store sells clothing from different brands, we have tons of different sizing options based on the brand (see screenshot below). What I’m looking to do is group sizes so the filter on Search and Discovery is easier to use.

Ie:

I want to group: 0-1M, 0-3M, 1M, 1-2M, etc. All into the search filter of 0-3 Months.

Does anyone have any advice on how to do this?

please note: Client wants to keep all the sizing (not redo them) and just group them in the filter.

Nevermind! Figured it out! All I need to do is create Varient metafield definitions!

Hello, how were you able to do this? Would it need to be done for every collection individually?
