I gave a great example during the live AMA of my current favourite guerilla marketing tactic currently. Here’s the short of it.
Step 1: Look at your competitors’ bad reviews.
Step 2: You should see what their customers actually care about. This is what they are complaining or unsatisfied with.
Step 3: Highlight your competitors weaknesses as your strengths on your site.
Step 4: Prime your customers to write reviews focusing on these aspects. When your potential customers are evaluating you against your competition, they will read both sets of reviews and yours will win.
