Has anyone experienced their online store being hacked?

  • I made my store on Shopify in 2023 but my store got hacked. My store was made by the name. “darls.co” on the email: contact.darls@gmail.com’ . I temporarily paused my store for some time and now when i logged in back to activate my store , on my email, it doesn’t show any store. Please resolve my this matter as soon as possible. . I am sharing you a screenshot of the message I received when I temporarily paused the store, and a screenshot of my store.

The original name of the store was “leon fashion online” but I purchased a domain for the name “darls.shop” cos it’s brand name

My phone number was integrated on Shopify . But as I told , the hacker has changed my number as well from there.

This is Roan, and I will be giving you some insights regarding this. I understand the urgency to secure your account from unauthorized person.

First off, it is highly advised to secure your account first by changing your password immediately and turning on your Two-step authentication. Changing password is the first step on lacking away the unauthorized person that is trying to get into your account.

Secondly, contact Shopify support advisors right away regarding this matter so they can take the necessary steps on securing your account. You can reach out to them by going through their Shopify Help Center and enter your concern on AI chat box, respond to it until the “I still need help” or “chat with a support advisor” option appear.

I just recently lost my shopify store to hackers and scam artists. Mine is Switch-It-Upteas by Erin and Will. Im now having to create a new one that im not lifting the access code too without customers asking me for it personally. Im so sorry this happened to you as well. These scammers names are Andrea Howlett, Tobias MacMillan, and Ken Curci. They wanted me to pay $2500 for a marketing campaign. I said NO repeatedly.

Please follow this to prevent from hack.

  1. Use strong, unique passwords, and enable two-factor authentication

  2. Keep any apps and themes up to date

  3. Use only trusted apps from the Shopify App Store

  4. Regularly go into your staff accounts to review and delete the ones you no longer want to have access to

  5. Keep all devices and computers secure.

Well, a Shopify store cannot hacked for any mean untill you shared the logins with anyone.

Shopify has very strong security in term of hacking the accounts for any mean. So you need to contact with the Shopify support via this link: help.shopify.com/
