Topic summary
Dropshipping site reports high traffic and 1,100+ Facebook ad likes but zero organic sales (only 2 purchases from family), with concerns about the cost of Google/YouTube ads.
Key feedback and next steps:
- Share the store URL so others can review for UX, offer, and trust issues.
- Optimize for conversions (actual purchases), not likes; configure conversion tracking for ads.
- Prioritize Google Shopping/Google Ads, which tend to convert better due to higher purchase intent than social media.
- Use Google Ads performance as a product/offer validation test: if targeted Shopping campaigns don’t convert, reassess product appeal, pricing, positioning, and brand.
Definitions:
- Conversions: desired actions (e.g., purchases) tracked from ads.
- Google Shopping: product-listing ads shown to high-intent searchers.
Status: No resolution yet; actionable advice provided, pending store review and setup of conversion-focused campaigns.
I would share your website url, then people can provide feedback and maybe spot something you’re not seeing.
I’ve worked with a lot of Shopify sites, and have collected common reasons / solutions: How to Figure Out Why You’re Not Getting Sales on Shopify
I wouldn’t judge a social media ad’s success based on likes, I would set conversions as the metrics. While people do buy from social media links, it’s often not the primary intent. I would set up Google Shopping / ads, that’s a clear path to purchase flow and those convert higher for most brands. It’s also a good test. If you aren’t getting sales from Google Ads, it’s likely your product / offer / brand is unappealing and needs some work.
Good luck
